The Keratin Tip Technique Stylists Are Switching To

Bond size has always been the tell. Too big and it shows through fine hair. Too small and it doesn’t hold. Most brands pick one size and call it a day. Muse never has, and the technique just got better.

What actually changed

We re-filmed the full Keratin Tip certification around a new install method. The old approach wraps the bond around the client’s natural hair strand. The new one melts the bond through the strand instead, so it stays intact longer and the bond itself sits more seamless against the scalp. Placement moved slightly further down the strand too, which makes the install more comfortable for the client from day one.

Why stylists are switching

Stylists testing the new technique are finding installs move faster, and clients are the ones pointing out the difference first. A smaller, flatter bond means your clients don’t have to worry their bonds are showing and they are almost impossible to feel since they lay flatter to the head.

Still the one-piece removal

Muse Keratin Tips still use 100% Italian keratin that comes off clean, in one piece, instead of flaking into the chalky mess stylists deal with on other brands. Combine that with the new melt-through technique and it’s the biggest shift to the method since launch.
